Beaded Pendants

Beaded pendants are more popular than ever.  When you create a beautiful necklace, a pendant is one of the best ways to create a unique focal point.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

  • Glass beads
  • Headpin or Eyepin
  • Jump ring
  • Round nose pliers
  • Wire cutters

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • String selected beads on the headpin or eyepin (eyepins have a prelooped end for connecting to other jewelry components).
  • Keep about 1/3" of wire, cutting off any extra.
  • Use round nose pliers to grasp the wire just above the beads, and bend sharply away from you.
  • Now use the round nose pliers to grasp the tip of the wire, and turn the pliers half a turn to begin the loop.  Release the pliers and turn them back a half turn to the position where you started the loop.  Now finish the loop with another half turn, closing loop securely down close to the beads.
  • Attach a jump ring to this loop to slide pendant onto your favorite chain.
